Line-up revealed for Dave Day 2025 rock concert

It happens in Barrow-in-Furness on Saturday 21st June

Following the huge success of the inaugural Dave Day last summer, a second ride-out in honour of late-great Hairy Bikers legend and long-time Planet Rock presenter Dave Myers will take place on Saturday 21st June.

Last June, an estimated 46,000 motorcyclists – including Dave’s Hairy Bikers co-star Si King, and Dave’s wife Lili – completed a 300+ mile ride from North London to Dave’s hometown of Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria

This year, Dave Day is happening on the ride-out day itself on Saturday 21st plus a second day on Sunday 22nd June in Barrow-in-Furness.

Alongside the epic motorbike ride-out, a Dave Day charity concert takes place at Barrow Town Hall on the Saturday afternoon and evening.

Performing Thin Lizzy classics on the night will be Darren Wharton’s Renegade, while Europe’s leading and longest running AC/DC tribute band Hells Bells top the bill.

Darren Wharton says: “It’s a real honour for Renegade to be part of Dave Day. Like so many, we loved the Hairy Bikers — their spirit, humour, and kind hearts were truly infectious.

“Playing the music of Thin Lizzy in Dave’s memory, while helping raise funds in the fight against cancer, means a great deal to all of us. We’ll be playing loud and proud for a true legend.”

Three local bands Don’t Tell AliceThe AeroBees and Sugarfoot will kick off proceedings in the afternoon. The concert will finish at 10pm.

Organised in partnership between Barrow BID and The Forum Theatre, and sponsored by Barrow Rising, tickets cost just £10 (plus booking fee) with all proceeds going the Dave Day charities; NSPCC Childline and CancerCare North Lancashire and South Cumbria.
